Today OP Capio Motorcycle Disorder Team have worked in Partnership with OP Hawkeye Rural crime team to disrupt those using motorcycle in an anti-social manner and in the facilitation of rural crime. 

The areas targeted have been Lynemouth, Ellington and Cresswell. This is following reports from members of the public and farming community alike of motorcycles being ridden in a careless and anti-social manner. These bikes are not only a nuisance to members of the public but are also putting their safety at risk due to the carless and inconsiderate way they are being ridden while in publicly accessible areas. 

Although no motorcycles were stopped or seized. Officers did witness the vehicles within the area and were successful causing them to cease in this activity. This was achieved using an all-terrain vehicle, drone and marked police vehicles patrols. 

Please rest assure this matter continues to be a priority for Northumbria Police and we will do all we can in tackling this issue. However, we do require your continued support in the reporting of these incidents.
